Overview
Challenge
Although Vodia is well established internationally, awareness in Germany, Austria and Switzerland was limited. Many companies were not yet aware of the benefits of cloud-based telephony, and trade media in healthcare, hospitality and catering, as well as business media, rarely reported on providers in this market segment. The challenge was to make Vodia visible as a trustworthy contact in the DACH region while communicating the technical expertise and the practical benefits of the solution in an understandable way.
Solution
To address these challenges in a targeted way, we developed a PR strategy based on a combination of data-driven press releases, expert interviews and practical case examples. The aim was to make Vodia’s expertise in business communications visible and to place the topic of cloud telephony clearly in relevant business and IT contexts. To do so, we identified suitable trade media and B2B decision-maker portals across the DACH region and placed content with clear technical depth and practical relevance. A further focus was on current questions around cybersecurity, resilience and digital robustness. In this environment, we were able to position Vodia’s managing director regularly as a contact and expert in trade media coverage, in particular when putting current security incidents and technological developments into context. In addition, we relied on storytelling formats such as customer cases, market analyses and thematic background articles to illustrate the relevance of modern cloud telephony for different industries.
Impact
Within six months, Vodia achieved broad media presence across the DACH region through its PR activities. More than 85 articles in leading trade and business media significantly increased brand awareness. The targeted communication positioned Vodia as a competent expert in VoIP and cloud telephony and increased interest among IT decision-makers.
