Overview

Kerstin Hendricks is an economist, university lecturer and expert on menopause in the workplace. She developed a training programme for menopause managers in companies and is a pioneer in this field in Germany. We support her with personal PR to establish her as a sought-after voice on menopause and working life.

Challenge

Menopause affects millions of working women at the height of their careers, yet companies still often treat it as a private matter. In the media, the topic is frequently framed around taboo, deficit or alarm. Credible expert positioning required a distinct, constructive angle that translates the topic into the language of business, leadership and talent retention.

Solution

In a strategy meeting we developed her narrative and PR roadmap: Kerstin Hendricks as a “provider of perspective” who frames menopause as an underestimated strategic issue for organisations – moving from concern to action and practical solutions.

On this basis we deliver data-driven press releases, for example on the economic cost of menopause-related sick days or on lessons from the UK’s menopause strategy. This is complemented by targeted interview offers to business, HR and consumer media, as well as guest articles.

Impact

Within a few months Kerstin Hendricks gained visibility in national and trade media, including an interview in Der Tagesspiegel (online and print), interviews for DUP Unternehmermagazin, VDI and experten.de, a mention in the Personalintern newsletter and an article in the print titles of the RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland. Further conversations, including with radio, are in the pipeline.
