Overview
Challenge
Obesity affects millions of people in Germany, yet it remains heavily stigmatised and is often misunderstood as a matter of willpower. As a new provider in a sensitive, regulated healthcare environment, Yesund needed to build trust, demonstrate medical expertise and take a clear position in the intense debate around weight-loss medication.
Solution
Building on a PR analysis and an agreed strategy, we developed a press kit, fact sheet, FAQ and spokesperson profiles for the German market. The launch press release on the German market entry was followed by topics such as a long-term study on oral semaglutide, a survey on men’s health and the company’s funding round.
A particular focus is on personal patient stories that show how people find their way out of obesity, as well as guest articles and interviews with the Chief Medical Officer, who frames obesity as a chronic disease from a medical perspective and speaks out against prejudice.
Impact
Within the first months, coverage of the German launch appeared, along with a founder interview on Startup Valley and a patient story in the Weser-Kurier. A guest article by the Chief Medical Officer was published as an opinion piece by the RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland and picked up by titles including the Cellesche Zeitung, alongside an editorial feature in NotTooOld magazine.
