Overview

Rex is a modern veterinary practice that has set itself the goal of revolutionising veterinary medicine. The team consists of experienced vets, entrepreneurs and software developers and specialises in domestic and small animals, in particular dogs, cats and rabbits. The practice offers a wide range of services, from general primary care to dental treatment and surgery. Rex veterinary practice places value on a calm and relaxing environment and offers separate waiting rooms for dogs and cats. It also allows convenient online appointment booking, even at short notice.

Challenge

In our communications for Rex, because the practice locations are limited to Berlin, we face the challenge of achieving broader media reach. This calls for a targeted local PR strategy to win the attention of Berlin media and the local target group. Competition in the region is also a challenge, as Berlin has a large number of veterinary practices. Animal health is also a very specific topic that is less often represented in the media.

Solution

In our communication strategy, we use different approaches: for start-up media, we explained the founder and the modern business model in press releases and interviews, thereby generating general interest in the brand and the people behind it. Thought leadership pieces strengthen the presence in mass media and ensure high reach for the articles. For Berlin media, we rely on local stories and trends with a strong focus on regional topics, interviews and invitations to events at the practices.

Impact

With the different communication approaches, we achieved articles within a very short time of working together in the most relevant mass, start-up and Berlin local media, such as Bild, Gründerszene and Der Tagesspiegel.
