Overview

BerBerSan is a health start-up from Schladming in Styria. With “Berberstin”, the company has developed the world’s first liquid berberine preparation, available in Austrian pharmacies and online. Since January 2026, we have been making the young company and its founders visible in health, lifestyle and business media.

Challenge

Food supplements do not always enjoy the best reputation in Austria, and the market is full of products making big promises. At the same time, the legal limits on communication are tight. For an unknown, innovative product, the task was to build trust: fact-based, credible and without health claims, yet approachable and media-friendly.

Solution

Following a strategy meeting and a PR approach, we positioned BerBerSan through service and expert topics. Press releases addressed seasonal health questions, such as how to support the liver and digestion after winter, or why fatty liver affects many people and often goes unnoticed. Pharmacist and co-founder Dr Agnieszka Magg featured as the expert voice.

We also arranged interviews with founder Bernhard Sikora, for example on innovation outside the big cities, Schladming as a business location and the role of global supply chains for plant-based raw materials. We briefed the interviewees specifically for each conversation.

Impact

Since February 2026, BerBerSan has appeared in more than a dozen media outlets, including Die Presse, KURIER freizeit, Kleine Zeitung, WOMAN, Heute, brutkasten and TopLeader, as well as regional titles such as Die Burgenländerin, Wiener Bezirksblatt and MeinBezirk.
