Overview

Kranus Edera is the first reimbursable erectile dysfunction app that has been proven to help effectively and holistically towards a fulfilling (sex) life. The e-health start-up, which focuses on men’s sexual health, has developed the first digital therapy for the treatment of erectile problems that is reimbursed by all German health insurers. Kranus Edera is also the first app in the field of urology to be approved as a DiGA. Using digital possibilities, the founders of the app want to close a major gap in care in the German healthcare system: for the first time, millions of men have an alternative to potency pills that, besides the symptoms, tackles above all the causes of erectile problems in the long term.

Challenge

Erectile dysfunction is a condition of social relevance that causes great distress for those affected and their partners. Nevertheless, the condition remains a social taboo. Erectile dysfunction is in fact not infrequently an early warning sign of heart attacks and strokes. The aim is therefore to get the new offering in front of as many people as possible through the media, in order to break the taboo and thus help improve quality of life in the long term.

Solution

Strategic advice for our client on content and recommendations on suitable PR measures formed the foundation of our work. Creating a creative press release, implementing the right story pitching strategy, and organising and supporting interviews led to a large number of editorial reports. These included reports in major general-interest media such as BILD and in health magazines such as Apotheken Umschau.

Impact

  • Coverage in the highest-circulation daily newspaper in Germany
  • Presentation of the innovative app in relevant health magazines such as Apotheken Umschau
  • Increased brand visibility
  • More open discussion of sexual health among men
  • Previous ProjectPR for a healthcare provider

  • Next ProjectPR for lifestyle supplements
