Broken product has always been a delicate issue for the food industry. Not only does it hurt sales, it also creates additional recycling costs and harms the company’s environmental footprint. The unpacking machine “Skinner” from Neckhaim Consulting GmbH solves this problem by enabling the automated unpacking of defective products. In this way, reject goods can be fully recycled and companies can work more economically and more sustainably at the same time.

Overview
Challenge
The Skinner makes a substantial contribution to sustainable and economical production and is therefore of interest to many companies. At the start of our collaboration, however, the topic of sustainable business was not yet a familiar concept to many German stakeholders, and Neckhaim Consulting GmbH was not established as a relevant player in the field. That needed to change.
Solution
For the Neckhaim Skinner, we therefore follow a two-track approach: on the one hand, our press releases do educational work with industry trade media and bring the effectiveness of the innovative unpacking machine to the fore. On the other hand, we establish personal contacts with relevant journalists in the sector in order to build up Neckhaim Consulting GmbH as an expert among machine builders.
Impact
Through targeted B2B press relations and by arranging interviews with the leading journalists of the process industry, we were able to establish Ernest Neckhaim as an innovative thought leader in sustainable production – and at the same time introduce the Skinner unpacking machine to a broad specialist audience. The increased visibility and recognition of Neckhaim’s expert status within the industry contributed significantly to invitations for guest commentaries in process-industry trade media and to the introduction of new cooperation partners.
