Overview

Freedom Finance (also known as Freedom24) is an international online broker offering access to global financial markets (US, Europe, Asia) with trading in shares, ETFs, IPOs and options. The company belongs to Freedom Holding Corp., which is listed on NASDAQ. From 2020 to 2025 we supported Freedom Finance continuously in trade and business media, with the aim of strengthening trust among investors, winning new investors and positioning the company as a leading voice and thought leader in the investment space, thereby also reaching investors, analysts and finance professionals in the industry. Through continuous media relations, events and expert comments, we placed the broker in top-tier media in Germany and Austria, such as Handelsblatt, Börse Online, Cash Online, Der Standard and Finanznachrichten.

Challenge

Despite its international market standing, Freedom Finance’s visibility in the German-speaking region was initially limited. As this is a financial product where safety and trust are paramount, and the broker was new to the German market, building trust was the top priority. The aim was to dispel prejudices against a foreign provider and a new financial product, namely IPOs. At the same time, the challenge was to communicate complex financial topics to the target audience on an ongoing basis, to position Freedom Finance as a competent point of contact for investors and to increase reach through widely read trade and business media. Over five years, a consistent PR strategy had to be developed and implemented that combined monthly content, annual press events and targeted placement in top media.

Solution

To meet these challenges successfully, we developed a long-term PR strategy in which we also thought “out-of-the-box”, going beyond the limits of classic PR. As a first step, we created a Wikipedia article about Freedom Finance to establish credibility and trust. In parallel, we launched ongoing educational and PR work around IPOs, a financial product still little known on the German market, in order to create transparency and explain the product in an understandable way. The press releases, analyses and interviews on current economic topics, published every month, were placed in a targeted way in leading trade and business media, including Finanznachrichten, Handelsblatt, Börse München, Aktienscheck, Altii, Gettex, MSN, Extra ETF and Cash Online. In addition, we took part in extensive press events every year, most recently in 2025 in New York at the World Chess Championship, which made interviews with top media representatives from Germany and Austria possible. The content was always tailored to the respective target group, from investment and growth perspectives in business media to niche topics in trade media. Our strategy combined classic media relations, data-based analyses, interview series, event PR and innovative measures such as the Wikipedia article, in order to build trust, raise awareness and increase media reach in a lasting way.

Impact

Over the entire collaboration, we achieved more than 300 publications in leading business and financial media, including Finanznachrichten, Handelsblatt, Börse München, Aktienscheck, Altii, Gettex, MSN, Extra ETF and Cash Online. On average, 60 articles appeared each year, comprising editorial features as well as strategically placed press releases and high-quality interviews. Particularly noteworthy are the annual press events, most recently in 2025 in New York at the World Chess Championship, which made interviews with top media representatives from Germany and Austria possible, including Der Standard, Börse Online and Handelsblatt. In 2025 alone, the coverage generated more than 565 million visits on the media sites and, over the five years, led to a cumulative media value of around €520,000. Through the consistent combination of regular press releases, data-based analyses and tier-1 interview placements, Freedom Finance was established as a trusted partner for investors and a specialist audience.
