Tiptapp is a digital marketplace for private individuals that offers quick and easy help with deliveries, shopping, moves and the collection of bulky waste. This turns the tedious task of recycling into an on-demand experience for the 21st century. The technology connects users who lack a car or the time to get everyday tasks done with someone who can help, in real time. The company offers a service that makes city life more convenient, more connected and more sustainable. The Swedish company also launched in Germany in 2022, in Berlin, and asked us for help to build more brand awareness.

Overview
Challenge
On-demand services are widely known and their functionality is usually self-explanatory. The multipurpose app Tiptapp, however, offers several services and at the same time the opportunity to earn a side income as a helper.
The service therefore has to be presented to several target groups and its different functions explained. The aim is to establish Tiptapp in the public eye and at the same time to generate attention for reuse, recycling and donations. In addition, the company’s founder is being positioned in the mass media as an expert in modern sustainability solutions, in order to build trust in the brand and the company.
Solution
As a PR agency, it is our job to communicate our clients’ product in a way that is easy for the general public to understand, while increasing brand awareness in a target-group-specific way. We place the company and the founder in TV formats, in relevant daily newspapers, and in blogs, podcasts and other media with a focus on the environment, sustainability and mobility. We also organise interviews and position the company’s messages in the public eye in a targeted way.
Impact
Awareness of Tiptapp was clearly increased in Berlin and the surrounding area, where the app officially launched in August 2022. Articles in local daily newspapers such as the Berliner Morgenpost and the Berliner Woche, as well as TV features on RBB and ARD, attracted a great deal of attention and boosted the app’s download numbers.
